Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before you book with us.
Does Indus Occasions have insurance?
Yes! Indus Occasions is a registered LLC and insured company, so our professional staff gives you and the venue peace of mind.
Do you provide services in other cities?
Absolutely. We are based in San Antonio, TX and work throughout Texas and beyond.
Can you quote a price based on a picture?
No two events are the same, and they shouldn't be. A quick estimate without meeting you in person at the venue or talking on the phone won't be accurate. It requires knowing all the details and planning.
How much setup and pick-up time do decorations take?
Every setup is different. We ask that you coordinate with the venue to provide the earliest and as much time as possible. For breakdown, a minimum of 1.5–2 hours, but it could be more depending on the number of decorations we have to pick up. Your special occasion requires lots of details that can't be missed. Bonus: shorter setup time requires more workers, hence higher decor costs.
Can I verbally confirm a booking and pay the full amount the day of the event?
A booking isn't confirmed until a 30% deposit is paid and a contract is signed. The remaining balance will be due 30 days before the event.
How far in advance should we book?
Weddings and special events typically get booked 6 months ahead. A booking isn't confirmed until a deposit is paid.
How much does a typical wedding cost?
It's hard to say because of the variety of vendors and services involved in a wedding. No two weddings are the same. Consider these costs: venue rental, decorations, catering, hair/makeup, photography/videography, and more.
Can we buy our decorations and have you set up?
Unfortunately, no. We cannot be responsible for handling your items or using them to make your event a successful one. We can only guarantee a beautiful event with our high-quality materials.
I'm hesitant to share my budget — you might charge me the whole amount.
Be upfront about your total budget early. A great decorator won't turn you away for a modest budget; instead, they will help you prioritize high-impact focal zones — like a show-stopping ceremony altar or a dynamic head table layout — rather than diluting your budget thinly across corners guests won't notice.
